There are all sorts of ways you and your company can support Transitions UK and help us to transform young lives and change our society for the better. Companies are encouraged to take corporate social responsibility, particularly in the communities they work with or sell to. Transitions UK wants to develop that concept into an active partnership with companies that benefits the business and the charity. Please get in touch to discuss how you can help. Here are some ideas:
Ideally we are looking for business partners who will support us over a number of years. That allows the relationship to develop and to be effective within your workforce and within the life of the charity. There are all sorts of ways of expressing that. Team days and team challenges on behalf of Transitions UK, from dress down Fridays to skydives to quiz nights and socials. From volunteering to fundraising. Whatever best works for your business.
Giving a regular amount every quarter or every year makes a massive difference to us. It helps us plan and supports our ongoing work.
We know that some companies prefer to change the charity support they give each year. We would be delighted to be your charity of the year, this year, next year or the year after! Again, please get in touch and it will be a pleasure to discuss that with you.
This is an increasingly common way of companies supporting charities supported by their own employees where the business matches the support raised by their employee up to a certain level. That means every pound raised by your employee on their challenge event is doubled in its benefit to the charity.
We are always pleased to receive one off support from your company. Some companies have a charity whip round at Christmas or as part of their annual team day. equally you might want to sponsor an event we are holding; the venue hire at our annual dinner for example; the cost of supporting a young person on one of our programmes for a year; the transport costs for a social event for beneficiaries and volunteersetc.
