Our new CEO appointed

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Julian Stanley as our new CEO.

Julian has considerable leadership experience in the voluntary sector. This includes delivering community, youth, education and mental health and wellbeing services. Julian led the transition and integration of Bounce Back Foundation into Change Grow Live in 2020 – 2022, and before that he was Group CEO of Education Support Partnership from 2009 – 2019. Julian has also run his own leadership, mentoring and coaching business, Clear Thinking Consultancy.

Julian joins at a key stage in the development of Transitions UK. He will need to consolidate the rapid expansion we have seen over the last 2 years and then help launch the next phase of growth.

Julian starts on the 1st of August, initially part-time. There will be a hand-over with our interim CEO, Roger Churchill, and Julian will take over full-time from October. We would like to acknowledge, and thank, the fantastic commitment of the whole team. They have had a lengthy period of uncertainty but throughout this time they have remained dedicated to supporting the young people in our projects. We also want to acknowledge the role Richard Shore and Roger Churchill have played in leading the team as we sought out a new CEO.

On behalf of Transitions UK Trustees

Note: Transitions UK supports disadvantaged, vulnerable young people to transition into a healthier and happier adult life. These young people may be at risk of offending, or leaving care, they may have emotional issues or have learning difficulties. We support each individual by building long term relationships with the young person through our volunteer mentors and our team.
