Making your goals attainable | Never Give Up Day
Everyone experiences hardships – Whether that be a tough financial situation, broken relationships, or issues concerning emotional and physical health – However, we can all try and overcome these the best we can through determination, motivation, and a positive outlook.
Today is a significant day in recognising that you should ‘Never Give Up’ on the goals and ambitions that you set for yourself as they are all attainable.
We’ve all been through uncertain times, but we have always come out the other side with new findings about ourselves and new experiences we have learnt from. Things may not always seem to go to plan or happen when others are thriving, but we’re all on our own journeys and things will happen in your own time.
By taking on board a ‘Never Give Up’ attitude, you’re already one step ahead of any difficulties you may face -We’re aware setbacks are there to test our strengths and resilience, but we can fight through these and come out the other side a more determined person.
Top things you can do today to support others:
Tell someone, who has gone through struggles but has never given up, that you are inspired by them and admire what they do
Treat someone with a gift who never gave up on you and has always supported you through tough times
Donate to a cause that you believe is doing good work and should continue to do so
Tell your story – People will want to hear and know that there is someone out there who has been through the same and has come out the other side stronger
We are a young people’s charity, and we support those who have not had the easiest start in life. Our specialities are working with those who have learning difficulties, who have experience in the care system, those who are at risk of exploitation and those who have had mental health challenges.
We strongly believe in providing young people with the attitude to ‘Never Give Up’. No matter where you started in life, you can always find a way to get you to where you want to be.
They may be struggling with their current or past situations, but we will support those with anything they need to help them transition into independent adulthood. Our young people have goals of improving their social skills, confidence, or self-esteem, as well as aiming towards further education, apprenticeships, finding work, housing, or even learning to drive.
Our goals are to make their goals a reality and through our incredible volunteer mentors, this is a possibility. They are there to support them throughout their journey and act as a guide to get to their end goal.
