The ‘Beat It’ Campaign and Appeal
Get involved
These are challenging times for all of us and especially for vulnerable young people. Many of the young people we are working with will now face additional pressures of loneliness and isolation, anxiety and depression. With that go things like self-harm and other concerns.
We are doing an amazing job (with an incredibly creative and committed team of staff and volunteers) of supporting those young people through digital, telephone, video conferencing and other methods to help them know they are supported and to provide consistency and continuity of relationships and support at a really difficult time.
We are determined to beat the Virus by limiting and combatting the negatives effects it’s imposing on our young people. We also want to see the charity through these next few months so that we are in the best position possible to build up services and deal with any backlog of need once this situation has passed. And we need your help to do that.
Please get involved. Transitions UK is facing a massive challenge around our community fundraising and the virus has already cost us around £20,000 of money we don’t have. So we have a whole list of virtual and home based challenges you can get involved with. You can also of course simply donate to our appeal. Every single pound you can spare will make a huge difference and help us survive the next few months and then thrive as we move beyond it with your help.
